Spot the difference.

My new labels arrived.
They were WRONG!! Oh no! Had I slipped and typed in the wrong font selection, had I left it on default and rushed the order.
No I checked the order confirmation and all was in order.
I called up the company and he didn't even bat an eyelid. The correct replacements arrived quickly, which was good as I had waited a few weeks for the original order to come through.

I love my labels and woven labels UK usually do a good job, I've ordered quite a few things from them for various different projects.

They didn't want the wrong labels back so now I have labels for back up and personal projects :D

The labels were inspired by this fabric, I love the red on the cream and of course the stitching print. You may have noticed this fabric has also featured in my banner.

It will also feature in the next collection and has greatly influenced the whole theme of the collection (the dress above isn't one of them, I was just being narcissistic and blazened the label on the front of the dress for my own amusement).

Today's shop update.

Another pigging bird dress. I know, with sales and marketing skills like this I should go on the Apprentice.

Only four left to go. I've printed and sewn on the braid so there's no backing out now lol.

Have a great weekend folks, not sure if I'll have a post for you tomorrow, but you can be sure of a shop update! :D

I shall be locked inside my house on a two day Gillian Mckeith detox as I have an apron instead of a tummy now.

Another day another dress.

I promise, only six more bird theme dresses to go.
I'm getting sick of them.
My next collection will be 18 dresses or less, what was I thinking doing 27!!

Two new dresses in the shop today.

I finally got round to finishing this Tea Cup print dress I've had cut out for a month or so lol.

Here is the first of the last nine "Ornithology Collection" dresses.
They have longer bodices and longer fuller skirts than the other dresses and different design and colour combinations as they all do.

One down Eight to go!! Then I can start on my new set of dresses! Well, I've already made one lol but I can get really stuck into designing the combinations which I love!

Just a couple more fabrics to buy and some cute buttons to arrive from Etsy.

I love making dolly dresses, I can treat myself to some really expensive gorgeous braids and I only need 1 metre for 3 or 4 dresses worth!! BLISS!!

Have a great weekend folks, as per usual we'll be stealing some time in the garden :D Hopefully preparing the chicken coop!!!

Treasury Feature :D

Morning all.

I've been missing a bit this week as I've been working on some hats (lol my real work, not Blythe) and the deadline is next week. They are all posted off now though so next week I'll hopefully do some updates to the shop :D I am also helping mum in the garden when I can as she has pulled her back somehow.

The Ornithology Collection has been received well, thank you to those who have bought dresses :D I'll make a proper post about it another day, I still have 9 dresses to finish, EEK!

For the next collection maybe I'll cut down the numbers a bit.

I'm very excited to be featured in two Treasuries on Etsy this week. Two different dresses in two different treasuries :D and one of the people had never heard of Blythe til she found my Nest dress. I have no idea what a Treasury is or is for lol but I feel very honoured to be noticed and featured with some well known Blythe names.

Thanks SlitelyAskew and BohemianBath! Go check out their shops folks :D
So I'm hoping to have a relaxing but productive weekend in the garden, my own garden.
Thanks for stopping by.

A felt dress and a felt applique.

I've been working on the new collection today in amongst the drama of real life.

I'm about half way there lol, 13 down, 14 to go. I've been photographing and packing up as I go so hopefully I can get them all listed quickly when I'm finished. Ideally I'd like to have my Vistprint cards and labels by then, but as I ordered them yesterday on the 21 day postage I doubt I'll have them here lol.

Anyway, so todays shop update is a dress that I made for the Charlie and Ze Dress Factory "Free the Felt" Contest. The winners were announced today and alas I did not place in the final 6. I had so much fun making dresses though, so as I made four lol (I couldn't stop!) I thought I would place a couple in the shop.

Here is "Let's Be Friends":

Another update to the shop is this reworked linen trench coat. I didn't like the acorn motif that I made for it so I added this shop bought one and I love it ten times better now! :D

I'm working in London tomorrow, off to visit Jimmy's Farm on Saturday, getting pigs for our own smallholding on Sunday and then working in London again on Monday. So.. if I'm still alive there might be an update on Tuesday (more like Wednesday lol).....Hmm, maybe that Vistaprint order will be here before I finish the collection afterall.

Have a great weekend all.

Lots of love,
Freya and NaughtyPixie.

The world of NaughtyPixie

Hi and welcome to my new Blog.

I have been making and selling handmade clothes for Blythe for a few months now and decided to start a blog to let everyone know about new stock and the goings on in the Pixie sweatshop ….er…sewing studio.

Back in November I bought a CCE fake Blythe doll, I called her NaughtyPixie and instantly fell in love with but longed for a real Blythe girl of my own. I got Pixie first because of the price of Blythe and was worried about liking her enough.

So I managed to persuede my long suffering husband that I should have a Blythe for Christmas so along came Forest

I will put a seperate page up with details of the girls later

So it’s April now and I’d been having Blythe cravings lol, I secretly bid on a blonde ADG but lost out. My friend Robin offered me her bald Guava at a price I couldn’t refuse, so now I have 3 (sort of).

Poor Guava doesn’t have a name yet, I just call her baldy, her hair is on the way and I’m hoping a name will appear when she puts it on. She’s got a big Blythe ‘tude!!!

Oops, what about me?

I’m Freya. In the online Blythe community I’m go by NaughtyPixie.

Tweet me up Blythe peeps @Forest_Blythe

I am a costume maker and Wardrobe mistress for Theatre and historical reenactment. So I thought I would have a go at making clothes for Blythe.

Here is my etsy shop:

When I am not collecting and crafting for Blythe I am making costumes for humans as “Freya Pointer Costumier”. For a little about me and my background take a look at my website (and un updated blog eeep!) www.FreyaPointer.co.uk

I am also an avid collector of My Little Ponies (this is why my husband is suffering lol). In the My Little Pony online community I am known as GypsyWildFlower.
You can find me at the UK PONYCON forum where I am a moderator and long standing staff member. www.ukponycon.co.uk

Check it out and if you are in the UK try and come along in October.

I have just opened another etsy store for custom My Little Pony accessories:

www.Gypsywildflower.etsy.com

I make custom replacement My Little Pony accessories, mainly Flutter wings and Big Brother Bandanas. Soon I will be adding Princess Wands and So Soft stands to the collection so keep your eyes peeled!

I have a Flickr group for more photos.
