Think I've got my mojo back!

Today I went shopping at one of my favourite places for fabric and crafts. Sew Simple at Taverham Garden Centre near Norwich.
It has THE BEST selection of quilting fabrics and also pretty dam near the biggest.
I was really surprised, pleased, impressed and also slightly annoyed ( as I'd just bought a load from America) to see they stocked the full "sew retro notions" range by the Henley Studio. So I bought the one that I was missing lol.
I was also a bit miffed that my discount voucher had expired as I'd not been there so long. Next time I won't convert my loyalty points until I return.

So now I'm feeling all inspired to make Blythe dresses again and my work circumstances may soon mean I have plenty of time :/

Blythe hiatus!

Wow! I've not written anything here since 2011!
Sorry about that.

Things got really busy with work and I didn't seem to have any time for anything else and bizarrely I didn't seem to have any money either so both making and collecting Blythe clothes were put on the back burner.

Due to work commitments I couldn't go to Blythecon Uk or uk Ponycon, which serendipitously were on the same day.

I did however get a vintage Sindy doll house!

I still love my Blythes and now I have a bit more time I would like to make for them again.

Anyway, I am uploading Dresses to Etsy that I made AAAAGES ago!

Here are today's uploads;

All this in the palm of my hand.
Here is a little something I have in the works. Hold your breath!

Kenner pangs - What would Wednesday Addams do? A poem.

Oh how I long for a Kenner!!
I'd call her Wednesday and dress her in black.
She'd have long raven hair and I'd tie it in plaits.

Next year I'll get me a Kenner!
I'd be happy with a bait, or just a head!
But alas, I can't bid, so buy her clothes instead.

What if Wednesday had a Kenner?
She'd have called her Marie Antoinette.
So here is my substitute Kenner, you'll notice she's minus her "tete"!!!

Late Anniversary post! Customer Photos.

On February the 12th 2010 I opened up a little Blythe clothes shop on Etsy and 6 days later made my first sale :D

This is a little late (I only just noticed PMSL) but I'd like to celebrate by sharing some customer photos with you.

I've made and sold over 100 dresses and coats over the year in the Etsy shop, at Blythecon and through custom commissions.

Thank you all for supporting me, I really appreciate it as I try to fill a little niche that isn't well represented in Blythe fashion and I am so pleased you like it.
I'm very excited to be starting another year making dolly dresses.

Finally catching up.

I've been desperately trying to catch up with commissions this week.
I've got about 5 more to do then I am working on Blythecon stock.
I have closed commissions for the time being so I can catch up, but I may open them again before October if I get on well.
I'm aiming to have at least 50 coats and dresses ready for my stall.

I'll also definately be opening up for commissions then so bring you thinking hats if you are coming along.

Sorry for the long gap between posts, I've got a new job and also trying to stick to my new years resolution which is to stop procrastinating and get on with the work that is piling up.
So far so good!!
